Dr. Ahmed Olugbenga Sanni – Orthopedic Surgeon & Traumatologist

Dr. Ahmed Olugbenga Sanni is a highly experienced and respected orthopedic and trauma surgeon in Lagos. He has been diagnosing and treating complex conditions of the bones, muscles, and joints for over 21 years. A son of Aduke Sanni, the trailblazing nurse in Nigeria, Dr. Ahmed Olugbenga Sanni has made several important contributions to treating critically injured patients in Lagos.

He completed his MBBS and master’s in surgery from Alexandria University in 1984. He then pursued a fellowship in trauma from the renowned National Orthopedic Hospital in Lagos to hone his skills further. After that, he played an active role in ameliorating the state orthopedic patients in Nigerian towns like Sagamu and Lagos. He did this in his capacity as a lecturer consultant, trauma surgeon, orthopedic surgeon, and clinical director of the top healthcare institutions.

At present, he leads the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), which is a premier institution that oversees the management of disasters. In addition, he runs his own private hospital, APEX-CARE, after working hours to extend medical help to the needy.
