Pyeloplasty in Lagos
Laparoscopic pyeloplasty is a minimally invasive technique for reconstructive surgery with a narrowing or scarring where the ureter connects to the kidney.
This procedure is used to clear a blockage or narrowing of the ureter, which is the tube that connects the kidney to the bladder. The block is known as a ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, and it causes slow and sluggish urinary drainage from the kidney. An obstruction of the UPJ may result in abdominal and flank pain, stones, fever, high blood pressure, and kidney function degradation.
