Dr Helena obtained her MBChB from the University of Nairobi and FC Rad Onc from the Radiation Oncology Residency Program. Her career started as Registrar of Radiation Oncology at Groote Schuur Hospital (2013 – 2017), continued with Head of Department- Oncology at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital (2019 – 2021), and Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Private Practice (2018 – present). She serves as Head of Department at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital. Dr Helena is a member of many groups of the Ministry of Health to improve cancer care in Kenya. She also serves in the International Education Steering Group at ASCO.
