Bronchoscopy in Lagos
Bronchoscopy is a technique that examines the patient’s lungs and airway. The patient is normally given local or general anaesthesia for this operation. To observe the upper or lower airways, the doctor will insert a bronchoscope (long, flexible device with camera/light) into the patient’s nose or mouth. The doctor can use small instruments to take tissue samples from the lungs and/or airways in some cases.
