Larynx Conservative Surgery in Lagos
Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common form of laryngeal cancer. Radiotherapy and complete laryngectomy are two common treatment choices. Since the larynx plays such an important role in respiration, expression, and deglutition, conservative approaches to the treatment of malignant lesions have been recommended. These organ-preservation policies seek to keep the majority of laryngeal functions while also improving oncological outcomes. Organ-preserving radio/chemotherapy procedures, endoscopic laser surgery, photodynamic therapy, and open conservative surgery are examples of such approaches.
