The Trust Hospital Accra

The Trust Hospital was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit health facility to provide healthcare to SSNIT staff and their dependents. The facility was later upgraded into a full-fledge hospital to extend its services to the general public.

The Trust Hospital was incorporated in November, 2010 as The Trust Hospital Company Limited. We have three (3) Hospitals- The Trust Hospital, The Trust Specialist Hospital and The Trust Mother and Child Hospital and six (6) Satellite Clinics.

The Trust Specialist Hospital located at Osu, Kuku Hill is a subsidiary of The Trust Hospital Company Limited.  It became operational in September 2012.  The major departments at this facility are Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Dental and Physiotherapy. There are two Theatres at this facility.

The Trust Mother and Child Hospital, located at Troas Crescent in Osu has an ultra-modern facility that takes care of Obstetrics and Gynecological cases and Paediatrics.

The Trust Clinics are community based clinics with modern facilities and experienced health professionals.  They are located at:

• Adenta Shopping Mall
• Dome, Dome Telecom
• Dansoman, Opposite Baptist Academy
• Sakumono, Opposite the Tennis Court Sakumono Estates

VISION

The vision of The Trust Hospital Company Limited is: To create model Hospitals and Clinics for the West African sub-region by playing a leading role in the provision of quality patient-focused services at reasonable cost.

MISSION

The mission of The Trust Hospital Company Limited is: To be a leading player in healthcare delivery service through the provision of efficient and cost effective quality healthcare services with state of the art technology by very friendly and highly motivated staff within a clean and healthy environment, thus maintaining a good corporate image as well as maximizing shareholders net worth at all times.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The overall objective of The Trust Hospital Company Limited is to be a provider of excellent services at the least possible cost and offer the full range of healthcare services at its Hospitals and Clinics.

GOVERNANCE

The Trust Hospital is governed by a Board of Directors which is appointed by SSNIT, the sole shareholder. The Board reviews and approves the operational policies of the company that are implemented by a management team headed by the General Manager/Medical. The key management personnel are responsible for the day-to-day management of The Trust Hospital Company Limited.

The core vision for The Trust Hospital is to become a leading player in healthcare delivery service in Ghana and the Sub-region. From what started as a not-for-profit healthcare Centre to provide healthcare to the staff of SSNIT and their dependents, we have matured into a fully-fledged hospital, extending our services to the general public for the past 24 years.

When we started, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) was not an added value to any healthcare facility in Ghana. However, as we progressed, the age of ICT has caught up with us and it has become necessary to evolve with the times. In today’s ICT world, the website of an organization does not only communicate or give information to clients but also afford clients the opportunity to interact with us and give feedback as far as our services is concerned.

We are confident that the next 2 decades will be better than the one before, because we have grown with the help of our Shareholders, Corporate clients, Individuals and most importantly our dedicated medical and non-medical staff.
