Esophagectomy in Lagos
The surgical removal of the oesophagus is known as an esophagectomy. The oesophagus is a hollow tube that connects the neck to the stomach and transports food and drinks. The mucous membrane, muscle, and connective tissue are all layers of tissue that make up the oesophagus.
The purpose of an esophagectomy is to remove the oesophagus.
