MCM General Hospital Addis Ababa

MCM General Hospital, located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was found by Myungsung Presbyterian Church of South Korea to provide quality health care to Ethiopians and to train Ethiopian medical professionals. MCM has both Ethiopian and foreign medical professionals who are motivated and committed to caring for the medical needs of patients who are seen at the hospital.

Being the first state-of-the-art hospital in Addis Ababa, our hospital offers high quality, personal and professional health care services to all. There are also outreaches many of the rural areas of the country through our mobile clinics. We provide financial aid to many patients who cannot afford to pay for their treatment. In addition, throughout the year, medical professionals come from around the world(e.g., Korea, United States, Norway, Canada, and others) to provide free and highly specialized medical care not available in Ethiopia.

MCM continues to collaborate with organizations and professionals who share our vision and interest in developing training facilities for Ethiopia’s medical professionals and in providing premier modern health care training for the next generation of Ethiopian physicians and surgeons.

Vision

Our vision is to become the best hospital in Ethiopia and providing the best quality medical service.

We also try to play a pivotal role for medicine and education, train for professional medical care providers, and expand access to advanced medical treatment for those who need it.

Mission

Our mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by providing advanced medical services to Ethiopians who are unable to get proper medical care.

We want MCM to be self-sustained so that even if it is left in the hands of Ethiopians the hospital would continue to prosper without problems. Through the construction of a medical college, we aim to produce many Ethiopian specialists so that Ethiopia is no longer regarded as a medically underserved country.

Through all of these efforts, it is our wish and desire to help Ethiopians accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior and gain eternal life.

Ethiopia has a 3000-year-old Christian legacy of faith since Queen Sheba accepted God through King Solomon. However, the reign of Communist government has left Ethiopia to be one of the poorest nation in Africa.
Now, Myungsung Christian Medical Center is planted in this nation like a small seed, filled hope and joy.

MCM wished to witness the miraculous works of God and to shine as His healing power for Ethiopia as well as Africa, also and to the rest of the world.For this redemptive purpose which aims to glorify God through this hospital in Ethiopia, we ask for your support and prayers.
