All patients undergoing an operation are seen by the anaesthetist to decide about fitness for anaesthesia and surgery, to plan the peripoerative care, and to provide patient the opportunity for explanation and discussion about the proposed anaesthetic technique and to answer any questions about any aspect of anaesthetic care.

The anaesthetic team will make sure that all patients will receive a good quality post operative pain management which will improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.

Pregnant patients requiring anaesthesia for surgery will be looked after by the anaesthetist and will have the same standard of facilities and perioperative care as all surgical patients
